Event details

I will discuss a procedure to generate states of charged hadrons with or without real photons, in full QCD+QED on the lattice without relying on gauge fixing at any stage of the calculations. This procedure is based on a formulation of QCD+QED in finite volume with C-parity boundary conditions in the spatial directions, which allow to define the charged sector without spoiling locality. Electrically charged states are interpolated with a class of operators, originally suggested by Dirac and built as functionals of the photon field, that are invariant under local gauge transformations.

About Particle Physics Theory seminars

The Particle Physics Theory seminar is a weekly series of talks reflecting the diverse interests of the group. Topics include analytic and numerical calculations based on the Standard Model of elementary particle physics, theories exploring new physics, as well as more formal developments in gauge theories and gravity..
