  • Event time: 11:30am until 12:30pm

  • Speaker: Professor Valerio Lucarini (University of Reading)
  • Location: Room 2511,

Event details

I will discuss some aspects of Kubo’s response theory in the context of the investigation of the linear optical properties of materials. We will see how Kramers-Kronig and sum rules can be derived and used. Finally, we will explore results relevant for nonlinear optical processes, and in particular harmonic generation.
