Event details
A very appealing solution to the hierarchy problem of the Standard Model is that
the Higgs particle might be a composite particle originating from new physics.
This general scenario has a number of concrete possible realisations, that require
non-perturbative theoretical methods.
I illustrate a selection of these possibilities with model calculations that use gauge-gravity dualities,
lattice gauge theories and effective field theories.

About Particle Physics Theory seminars
The Particle Physics Theory seminar is a weekly series of talks reflecting the diverse interests of the group. Topics include analytic and numerical calculations based on the Standard Model of elementary particle physics, theories exploring new physics, as well as more formal developments in gauge theories and gravity..
