Event details
I will review an extension of general relativity called exceptional field theory that combines p-form gauge fields with the metric to form
a single geometric quantity called the Generalised metric. As an application of this the Kerr-Schild Ansatz is for exceptional field theory
and applied to give a double copy type construction for the fields of M-theory.

About Particle Physics Theory seminars
The Particle Physics Theory seminar is a weekly series of talks reflecting the diverse interests of the group. Topics include analytic and numerical calculations based on the Standard Model of elementary particle physics, theories exploring new physics, as well as more formal developments in gauge theories and gravity..
