Event details

We report the first determination of universal parameters of the axial a1(1260) resonance from lattice QCD.  The finite-volume energy levels are obtained in this channel using two and three particle operators.  The energies are then fed through a three-body quantization condition (FVU) which then determines the infinite-volume scattering amplitude.  Subsequently, pole position and residua of the three-body resonance are extracted on the second Riemann sheet and compared to the phenomenological ones.

About Particle Physics Theory seminars

The Particle Physics Theory seminar is a weekly series of talks reflecting the diverse interests of the group. Topics include analytic and numerical calculations based on the Standard Model of elementary particle physics, theories exploring new physics, as well as more formal developments in gauge theories and gravity..
