Quantum Nature of Gravity through a Table-Top Experiment
Particle Physics Theory seminar
Quantum Nature of Gravity through a Table-Top Experiment
- Event time: 2:00pm until 3:00pm
- Event date: 18th January 2023
- Speaker: Professor Sougato Bose (University College London)
- Location: Higgs Centre Seminar Room, Room 4305, James Clerk Maxwell Building (JCMB) James Clerk Maxwell Building Peter Guthrie Tait Road Edinburgh EH9 3FD GB
Event details
We will discuss a laboratory experiment to reveal the underlying quantum nature of gravity. Along with justifications, we will explore a methodology and the main challenges to meet in order to make such an experiment a reality. Time permitting, the applications of the same technology to deliver extreme quantum sensors will also be discussed.
