Particle Physics Theory seminar

Status of Theoretical Predictions for Exclusive b -> s mu^+ mu^- Processes

  • Event time: 2:00pm until 3:00pm
  • Event date: 14th June 2023
  • Speaker: Danny van Dyk (Durham University)
  • Location: Higgs Centre Seminar Room, Room 4305,

Event details

I will review the status of theoretical predictions for processes such as $B \to K^{(*)}\mu^+\mu^-$ and $B_s \to \phi \mu^+\mu^-$. Emphasis will be put on recent progress in the description of so-called non-local contributions to these processes. As part of the review, I will strive to set the stage in a pedagogical way.
