Event details
Title: Meson spectroscopy in QCD
Asbtract: I will show how lattice QCD calculations can be used to study the excited meson spectrum as it appears in experiments, as short-lived resonances, typically decaying into multiple final states. By evaluating coupled-channel scattering amplitudes and analysing their pole content, we come to a first-principles determination of excited states with minimal model-dependence.
About Particle Physics Theory seminars
The Particle Physics Theory seminar is a weekly series of talks reflecting the diverse interests of the group. Topics include analytic and numerical calculations based on the Standard Model of elementary particle physics, theories exploring new physics, as well as more formal developments in gauge theories and gravity..
