Title: Non-perturbative B-physics with controlled systematics

Abstract: The heavy flavor sector of the Standard Model is a promising avenue for uncovering physics beyond the Standard Model, given persistent tensions between theory and experiment. Precise Standard Model predictions require reliable control of non-perturbative effects, which lattice QCD can provide. However, handling heavy quarks on the lattice introduces significant systematic uncertainties. We present our strategy and proof of concept for mitigating the dominant sources of uncertainty in lattice QCD calculations of B-physics observables, enabling precise and controlled Standard Model predictions.

About Particle Physics Theory seminars

The Particle Physics Theory seminar is a weekly series of talks reflecting the diverse interests of the group. Topics include analytic and numerical calculations based on the Standard Model of elementary particle physics, theories exploring new physics, as well as more formal developments in gauge theories and gravity..
