Event details

Energy Correlators (EC) are the simplest IR finite observables that measure the distribution and the correlation of energy flow in a particular direction, which connect theories and experiments.

From a phenomenological aspect, they can be used as event shape or jet structures to further study properties of Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) or even new physics. I will introduce a systematic algorithm to calculate the canonical differential equations for energy correlators at generic angle in N = 4 super Yang-Mills theory. Applying the algorithm, we obtain the canonical basis for three-point EC and the full set of master integrals for four-point EC. For four-point EC, based on differential equations, we find two elliptic curves and one genus 2 hyperelliptic curve by Picard-Fuchs operators.

About Particle Physics Theory seminars

The Particle Physics Theory seminar is a weekly series of talks reflecting the diverse interests of the group. Topics include analytic and numerical calculations based on the Standard Model of elementary particle physics, theories exploring new physics, as well as more formal developments in gauge theories and gravity..
