Event details

In this talk we will report on the analytic evaluation of the hadronic vacuum  polarisation   in two-flavor chiral perturbation theory to three  loops [arXiv:2510.12885] that's relevant for the calculation of   the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon and electron. The three-loop amplitude gets contributions from polylogarithms and six elliptic master integrals, all derivable from the single-mass two-point sunset integral via differentiation or integration. Our result is intended to serve as a starting point for phenomenological studies, as well as the computation of finite-volume corrections in lattice QCD.

About Particle Physics Theory seminars

The Particle Physics Theory seminar is a weekly series of talks reflecting the diverse interests of the group. Topics include analytic and numerical calculations based on the Standard Model of elementary particle physics, theories exploring new physics, as well as more formal developments in gauge theories and gravity..
