Event details
In this talk I will review recent progress on the Worldline Quantum Field Theory (WQFT) formalism, and its application to the gravitational two-body problem — both for scattering and bound orbits. This will include scattering at 5PM order, both at 1SF and more recently 2SF conservative contributions. I will also discuss recent work on the N-matrix, including the Magnusian and soft factorisation at 4PM order. Finally, I will about applications of N to bound orbits using gravitational self-force.
About Particle Physics Theory seminars
The Particle Physics Theory seminar is a weekly series of talks reflecting the diverse interests of the group. Topics include analytic and numerical calculations based on the Standard Model of elementary particle physics, theories exploring new physics, as well as more formal developments in gauge theories and gravity..
