Event details
In this seminar I will introduce a method for subtracting threshold singularities of Feynman loop integrals in parameter space. By remapping the singular hypersurfaces from inside the integration domain to the boundary, all singularities can be resolved via sector decomposition. This yields integrals that can be evaluated for physical kinematics without having to rely on a contour deformation, which can accelerate numerical evaluation by several orders of magnitude. We demonstrate the effectiveness of our method by applying it to several examples at the multi-loop level, including integrals with massive propagators, and compare its numerical performance against contour deformation in pySecDec.
About Particle Physics Theory seminars
The Particle Physics Theory seminar is a weekly series of talks reflecting the diverse interests of the group. Topics include analytic and numerical calculations based on the Standard Model of elementary particle physics, theories exploring new physics, as well as more formal developments in gauge theories and gravity..
