Distinguished Service Award for Dr Tiffany Wood

Congratulations to Dr Wood who has received an award for her contribution to the Society of Chemical Industry.

The Society of Chemical Industry (SCI) is a global network of innovators using science to tackle some of the big societal challenges of today, across climate, planet, health and wellness.

The SCI Distinguished Service Award recognises the enthusiasm, hard work and goodwill of longer-serving members from all parts of the Society. This year's winner is Dr Tiffany Wood who received her award at SCI's AGM in July 2024. 

Dr Wood is one of the co-founders of Dyneval, established in 2020 to offer innovative technology for the precise measurement of semen quality in order to improve the profitability and sustainability of farming.

Prior to this, Dr Wood was Director of the Edinburgh Complex Fluids Partnership, a knowledge exchange unit within the Soft Matter and Biological Physics group at the School of Physics and Astronomy, to help companies adopt innovative technologies.
