Margaret Campbell Scott entrance bursaries
The School of Physics and Astronomy awards up to ten Margaret Campbell Scott Scholarships to first time entrants embarking on one of our degree programmes each year. These awards will be based primarily on entrance qualifications; the criteria are as follows:
- The awards are made to entrants who, in the judgement of the School, have achieved the best qualifications in Physics and Mathematics.
- For this purpose the relevant qualifications will be those achieved in Advanced-Higher or A-level examinations.
- Each scholarship will be worth £1000; it will be paid in two equal instalments during the first and second years of study. The second instalment will be conditional on merit-level performance in the first year of study.
- The decision of the Head of School or their nominee will be final.
