Open Days
Open Days are open to anyone who is considering undertaking undergraduate studies at the University of Edinburgh. These events are a great opportunity to learn more about the degree programmes we offer, visit the campus, and meet with staff and current students.

Offer Holder Events 2023
The School of Physics and Astronomy is organising a range of events for Offer Holders . These events are aimed at those who hold a conditional or unconditional offer to study with us.
On-campus events
Come along to our on-campus Offer Holder Events! You will have the chance to meet our academics and current students, visit the campus and our School facilities including physics labs.
The dates of our 2023 Offer Holder Events are:

Industrial action
Please note that these events are taking place during a period of industrial action, which is taking place across the UK higher education sector. We respect the right of our staff to take industrial action. However, we want to reassure you that our top priority is to minimise any disruption to you where we can.
At the moment, we do not anticipate any impact on the events above, and we are not aware of any strike action planned for the 5 April, 12 April or 21 April but we will let you know if this changes.
Event cancellation
If an event has to be cancelled at short notice due to unforeseen circumstances please note we are unable to accept liability for any costs incurred by attendees (e.g. travel, accommodation). You may wish to consider travel insurance or flexible tickets.
Online events
If you cannot make our on-campus Offer Holder Events, you can still meet us online. Events include a presentation from a member of academic staff within the School and current students, and a Question & Answer session. Presentations include information on living in Edinburgh, degree structures and courses, and student services. Each session has a duration of around 1 hour and is hosted on Blackboard’s Collaborate Ultra. All you need is a computer and an internet connection. You do not need a web cam or microphone as questions can be asked via a text chat box.

These sessions provide you with information on the University of Edinburgh, the Scottish Higher Education system, accommodation options and student life. The sessions are live and online and give you the opportunity to ask questions and find out more about studying in Edinburgh.
Campus Visit
Student-led tours are ideal for visitors to the city who want to find out more about student life and our campuses. You can choose to tour the Central Campus , King’s Buildings Campus, or both.
