I am continuing this research as a PhD student...

In the summer between my third and fourth year, I had the opportunity to work on a 6 week project studying the classical simulation of Measurement Based Quantum Computation. The project was supervised by Dr. Elham Kashefi (School of Informatics) and sponsored by an EPSRC vacation bursary. This work led to a Senior Honours project in the same field, for which I reached the final of the SET Student of the Year Award.

These projects formed the foundation of my MPhys project, where I looked at coarse grained techniques for accurately and efficiently simulating the long range interaction between molecules, supervised by Prof. Jason Crain. For my undergraduate research, I was awarded an Ambassador's Diploma by His Excellence Dr. Ion Jinga, Ambassador of Romania in the United Kingdom.

I am continuing my MPhys research as a PhD student, part of the Condensed Matter Doctoral Training Centre and funded via an industrial CASE award from the National Physical Laboratory.
