Event details
High Energy Jets (HEJ) is a theoretical framework to describe the production of multiple jets with large transverse energy. This will be very important at the LHC.
I will begin by motivating the development of such a tool. I will then explain our approach and how we derive our approximations, and apply them to the production of jets, W+jets, Z+jets and Higgs+jets.
I will finish with results and discussion of what we've found so far and will briefly outline future directions.
About Particle Physics Theory seminars
The Particle Physics Theory seminar is a weekly series of talks reflecting the diverse interests of the group. Topics include analytic and numerical calculations based on the Standard Model of elementary particle physics, theories exploring new physics, as well as more formal developments in gauge theories and gravity..
