Event details
I will discuss simple deterministic models of bacterial growth, competition, and evolution for situations of increasing complexity: exponential growth, saturated (logistic) growth, growth with explicit nutrient. I will also discuss how realistic are various assumptions made in these models and whether they can be (at least in principle) realised experimentally.
