Jude Cook is the Cofounder and CEO of ShareIn, an Edinburgh based fin-tech business.  During this session she will share her rollercoaster of a journey starting a company, getting to 30 people and the highs and lows along the way. She will also provide her view on all start up financing options, including her experience of crowd-funding.

Jude studied General Engineering at Durham University, specialising in Fluid Mechanics. She then qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte's in London. She spent several years in BT plc. in various strategic planning and corporate finance roles. After taking a career break to have children, Jude founded ShareIn with Andrew Pickett. Jude and Andrew had met at an Edinburgh University Business School E-Club event.

ShareIn is one of the founding members of the UK Crowdfunding Association and formed in 2011. ShareIn firmly believe all types of alternative investments can and should happen online. The days of paper brochures and posting cheques are gone.

ShareIn has been directly authorised by the Financial Conduct authority since 2014 and provide both a white label investment platform and a compliance service. Specialities include Property and renewable energy bonds. ShareIn are authorised as an Innovative Finance ISA Manager and recently launched a niche payment solution called ShareInPay to hold client money. Combined client transactions by volume make ShareIn one of the largest alternative investment platform operators in the UK. ShareIn is based at CodeBase, the UK’s largest tech incubator.
