Event details

We're pleased to welcome Dr Vincent Martinez, Co-Founder and Chief Technical & Scientific Officer of Dyneval, to JCMB on the 2nd October.

Vincent is a recognised authority on the measurement of microscopic motion of colloids and microorganisms in complex fluids, having published over 25 papers in leading scientific journals while at the University of Edinburgh. Based on this research, Vincent and his co-founder, Dr Tiffany Wood, spun out Dyneval in 2020. As CTO, he is developing Dyneval's innovative technology that provides precise measurement of semen quality using portable equipment. Vincent’s talk will explore the process of commercialising research and starting a company, and the challenges and lessons learned along the way.

About Entrepreneurship events

We run a series of Entrepreneurship Masterclasses and Start-Up Clinics for staff and postgraduate students. Our workshops link understanding in physics to the functionality of ingredients, formulations and food processes. These are open to the public. .
