Event details
Taff spent the first half of his career working for Prof Colin Pillinger FRS, developing instruments for the Rosetta and Beagle2 space missions. Since successfully analysing a comet, he has since led the space technology translation agenda at the OU. His research teams have successfully developed a wide range of bespoke, high impact, sector disruptive solutions to terrestrial challenges, including developing the award-winning air quality monitoring system for use on all future UK submarines and instruments for the world's largest flavours and fragrance company. The talk will cover this 30 year journey around our solar system - sniffing as we go.
About Entrepreneurship events
We run a series of Entrepreneurship Masterclasses and Start-Up Clinics for staff and postgraduate students. Our workshops link understanding in physics to the functionality of ingredients, formulations and food processes. These are open to the public. .
